Penn linebacker tied to championship-level defense
A.J. Hewitt is a Penn linebacker whose value is tied to a proven, defense-first program: Penn’s roster bio notes he was part of two Ivy League championship teams and defenses that ranked among the nation’s best in 2009 and 2010. That context matters more than raw stats here, because it signals a player developed in a disciplined system that demands toughness, communication, and consistency. If you want a linebacker who fits a structured, assignment-sound defense and can add competitive edge, Hewitt profiles as a strong culture fit.
