Cortney Laye gives Morehead State a compact, reliable TE target with proven red-zone value
Laye is a steady Morehead State tight end whose current production is modest but efficient, with 6 catches for 50 yards and 1 touchdown on ESPN’s updated career stat page. He stands out more as a dependable, physical, assignment-sound piece than as a flashy volume receiver, and his value is likely in the details: blocking, toughness, and doing the dirty work that helps an offense function. If you want a TE who can be trusted in structure and in the red zone, he is a sensible fit; if you need a high-upside explosive mismatch athlete, the stat profile does not suggest that yet.
