veteran Fordham linebacker with a long Rams footprint
Alex Hunter is a familiar Fordham name at linebacker, with reliable program history showing him as a senior-level contributor in the Rams’ defense. The clearest differentiator is experience: Fordham’s 2005 spring-practice preview specifically grouped him among the returning linebackers expected to help replace a depleted unit, which suggests trust, preparation, and a steady football IQ[1]. He profiles as the kind of fit coaches love—dependable, assignment-sound, and valuable in a system that needs mature linebackers to hold the middle and keep the defense organized[1].
