Donovan Fitzmaurice brings sturdy, gap-sound size to Iowa State’s DT rotation
In the 2025 season, Donovan Fitzmaurice logged 11 tackles, 1 TFL, and 1 sack in nine games, showing usable interior depth rather than splashy star power. At 6-foot-3 and 284 pounds, he profiles as a solid, physical defensive tackle with a reputation for winning his gap and doing the dirty work in the middle. He transferred from Washington State to Iowa State in 2026 with three seasons of eligibility left, which makes him a developmental fit for a team that wants toughness, length, and room to grow.
