Kent State Long Snapper John Winner: Active Roster Piece, But Still an Untested Unknown
John Winner is listed as an active redshirt freshman long snapper for Kent State in the 2026 season, wearing No. 56 at 5-foot-11 and 220 pounds, but he logged no game action in 2025 and has no available stat line yet. The upside here is roster stability: if you need a snap specialist with a developmental frame and a clean path to reps, he fits the profile, but there’s no public evidence yet of game-tested impact, special-teams range, or injury history to hang a strong scouting grade on.
