New Mexico Lobos DE with 12 Sacks in 2024, Elite Intensity and Conference-Top Defense
Mark Hunter, the New Mexico Lobos defensive end, delivered a dominant 2024 season with 12 sacks, anchoring a defense ranked 20th nationally in team defense (330.5 yards/game) and 16th in passing yards allowed (183.0). His differentiators include relentless intensity, a physical playing style that disrupts quarterbacks, and a leadership presence that elevates the entire unit. Though listed as a linebacker on ESPN, his on-field role as DE is clear from sack stats and defensive rankings. No major injury history is reported, and his consistency suggests he’s a high-fit prospect for teams seeking a disruptive, game-changing edge defender with proven conference-level impact.
