seasoned South Alabama linebacker with veteran versatility
Barnett brings old-school linebacker grit and position flexibility, having logged time at both outside linebacker and safety for South Alabama, which hints at strong coverage instincts and matchup versatility. The catch: publicly available current-season production is limited in the source material, so this is more a profile of fit than a stats-driven breakout. For a team needing an adaptable, experienced defender who can handle hybrid responsibilities and bring edge-to-edge toughness, Barnett is the kind of player who earns notice through role value, not just box-score noise.
