Amiya Payne brings guard-forward versatility, but injury interruption has limited her 2023-24 impact
Amiya Payne is a **versatile G/F** for UAB whose value is more about fit and upside than box-score volume right now: she averaged **2.4 points, 1.1 rebounds, and 0.5 assists** with **38.5% shooting** in the latest available stats, and UAB notes she **did not play in 2023-24 due to injury** after appearing in 16 games the season before. That makes her an intriguing “what-if” player: she has size/position flexibility, prior scoring chops from high school, and enough perimeter skill to project as a useful depth piece if she regains full health and rhythm.[1][3][2]
