Calvin Hodge brings Samford-style linebacker toughness and special-teams value
Calvin Hodge is a **senior linebacker** for Samford, listed at **6'1", 230 pounds**, which suggests the kind of frame coaches like for inside run support and physical special-teams work.[2] I couldn’t find reliable public stat output for his current season, so the best read is that his value is likely driven more by **size, toughness, and assignment discipline** than splashy box-score production.[2][4] If your team wants a linebacker who can add depth, play downhill, and compete in a demanding system, Hodge looks like a practical fit rather than a headline-grabbing one.[2][4]
