Michael Copenspire brings size, power upside, and a clean fit at first base for Rider
In the 2026 season, Copenspire is a sophomore first baseman listed at 6-foot-0, 205 pounds for Rider, and the program described him as a power hitter who fills a need at first base. He arrived as a three-year varsity starter at Calvert Hall and an honor-roll student, which points to a player with both polish and reliability. The biggest draw is projection: a physical corner bat with a steady development track. If a team wants left-side pop, maturity, and a low-drama clubhouse fit, he’s the kind of guy worth circling.
