steady Howard guard with room to pop
Essence Coggins is a Howard guard who looks like a value-add piece: steady, positional, and the kind of player a coach can trust to keep the offense organized and the group competitive. The public stat trails available here don’t show a deep individual profile, so the bigger takeaway is fit and role—she appears to bring guard-level mobility, composure, and lineup flexibility rather than flashy, volume-heavy production. For a team, that usually means dependable minutes, low-drama competitiveness, and a player who can complement higher-usage scorers.
