Brett Staal brings size, versatility, and a utility-first guard profile to Lipscomb
Brett Staal is a 6-foot-4 Nashville product who played guard at Lipscomb and was valued as a steady, team-first contributor rather than a volume scorer; in the 2010-11 season, he appeared in five games and scored four points, and his high-school résumé showed he could rebound and fill gaps efficiently. The big differentiator is blend-over-flash: size for a guard, willingness to do the little things, and the kind of selfless, low-ego profile coaches usually trust in practice and bench depth roles.
