Sammy Hernandez brings FAU a veteran 6-foot-5 forward with a grinder’s edge
Sammy Hernandez is a veteran Florida Atlantic forward listed at 6-foot-5 and 230 pounds, giving the Owls a sturdy, experienced presence with positional versatility and a transfer story that suggests he values opportunity and fit. His most usable traits are physicality, toughness, and a no-frills style that can help a team on the glass, in the post, and in high-contact possessions. The big question is ceiling: his older profile suggests he’s more of a role piece than a stat-sheet stuffer, but for a coach wanting maturity, size, and a dependable low-drama teammate, he’s a fit worth a look.
