Jackson State DE with 137 Career Tackles and 29 TFLs
Sam Washington is a 6'2", 253-lb defensive end for Jackson State who played from 2007–2010, amassing 137 career tackles (67 solo), 29 tackles for loss, and a reputation for relentless intensity and physicality at the point of attack. His differentiator is a rare blend of size, leverage, and consistent gap control that made him a stat leader in tackles for loss during his tenure. While not active in the 2025–2026 season (he graduated over a decade ago), his profile remains a benchmark for disciplined, high-motor DEs who excel in run-stopping and creating negative plays. Ideal for teams needing a steady, battle-tested presence who plays with elite focus and zero tolerance for missed assignments.
