Reliable SMU OL Depth Piece Who’s Earned His Keep on Special Teams
In the 2022 season, Dalton Perdue appeared in all 13 games for SMU, working primarily on field goals and PATs, after seeing action in eight games in 2021. The big takeaway: he’s been a dependable, assignment-sound interior/edge protection option rather than a headline grabber, which matters in a good way for a team that values consistency, toughness, and special-teams reliability. At 6-7 and 280 pounds coming out of El Dorado, he brings size and developmental upside, and his path suggests a player coaches trust to do the dirty work without fuss.
