LSU TE DeSean Smith: explosive, versatile, and built to stress defenses
DeSean Smith enters the LSU picture as a high-upside tight end with a receiver’s feel: he was a 4-star prospect, ranked No. 102 nationally by 247Sports, and praised for lining up inline or split wide to create mismatches. LSU’s roster notes describe him as an athletic tight end with downfield playmaking ability, though his development was interrupted by a spring injury that was expected to be fully cleared in the fall. In other words: if you want a TE who can flex, threaten seams, and keep defenses honest, Smith is the fun kind of problem.
