Florida’s Do-It-All Guard With Pro-Level Vision
Calathes is a high-IQ, pass-first guard whose best trait is creating offense for everyone else, not just himself; during his Florida career he led the Gators in assists, scoring, and steals, and he even posted a triple-double in conference play[1][4]. He stands out for tempo control, feel, and defensive disruption, but his value is bigger than the box score because he brings composure and playmaking that can stabilize a team’s offense[1][4]. If you need a guard who can organize, distribute, and compete with edge, he’s a strong fit[1][4].
