Mike Pierson brings veteran assist-making and playmaking upside, but injuries have slowed his recent run
Pierson is a crafty guard whose biggest calling card is distribution: he has logged more than 500 career assists, which ranks No. 2 in Cal State LA history, and that kind of floor general skill is exactly what translates to winning basketball. In 2024-25, his first year with the program, he was limited to three games by injury and averaged 2.0 points and 0.7 rebounds in 28 total minutes, so the current snapshot is more about availability than production. If you need a pass-first, experienced guard who can organize offense when healthy, he is worth a look.
