Freshman bat to watch: Ella Bakholdin brings contact, power, and versatility to CBU
Ella Bakholdin enters California Baptist as a 5-foot-8 freshman infielder/outfielder with a strong high school track record and immediate production upside. In 2025 at Central East, she hit .427 with a .495 on-base percentage, 38 hits, 34 RBI, 27 runs, and 5 home runs, while also ranking among the top players in her section and league for homers[1][2]. Her value goes beyond the box score: she was a two-time TRAC champion and D1 champion, and her left-handed bat plus ability to handle both the infield and outfield give CBU lineup flexibility[2].
