Rafiq Gunthorpe brings long, rangy DB upside to Delaware
Rafiq Gunthorpe is a 6-foot-2 defensive back for Delaware, with a build that suggests coverage versatility and matchup flexibility rather than a pure slot-only profile.[1][2] The most useful takeaway right now is his frame and developmental upside: Delaware lists him as a sophomore DB, and that length can translate into better catch-point disruption and boundary help if his technique keeps climbing.[2] Publicly available stat detail is limited here, so the smarter read is projection-based—he looks like a fit for a team that values size, patience, and coachable secondary pieces with room to grow.[1][2]
