a familiar NIU back with an old-school, downhill profile
Jon Lanum is listed as a Northern Illinois running back, but the available public information is extremely thin, so there is no reliable current-season stat line to hang your hat on. What stands out is the classic compact RB build and a long NIU connection, which suggests a player who knows the program and fits a physical, assignment-clean rushing style more than a flashy, space-heavy role. If you need a dependable depth piece with toughness and familiarity, he’s at least worth a closer look; if you need proven production, the public record doesn’t yet show it.
