a veteran Panther center with a gritty, glue-player edge
Katie Sorrell’s profile is tied to an older UNI-era women’s basketball record trail rather than a clearly current 2026 stat line, so the safest read is that she is a historical Panther center known for toughness, reliability, and low-drama production. In the archived game log and box-score snippets, Sorrell shows the kind of role-player value coaches love: physical interior presence, opportunistic scoring, and the willingness to do the unglamorous stuff that helps teams win. If you want a center who brings grit, structure, and team-first energy, she fits that mold well.
