Gamecocks' Depth RB with Untapped High School Pedigree
Darius Paulk, a South Carolina Gamecocks running back from Columbia, SC, boasts career college stats of just 5 carries for 27 yards (5.4 avg) across three seasons (2014-2016), including a standout 19-yard scamper vs. Western Carolina in 2016, but his high school explosion at Richland Northeast—1,374 rushing yards, 6.3 YPC, 11 TDs in 2011-12—hints at raw burst and vision. A redshirt transfer from North Greenville (120 yards in 2013), he's a gritty depth piece with special teams tackles, ideal for teams needing versatile, high-motor backups without injury red flags. Care if you value local talent with upside.
