Abby Harvell has become SIUE’s spark plug in center field
In the 2026 season, Abby Harvell emerged as a versatile top-of-the-order weapon for SIU Edwardsville, leading the team in hits and doubles while also contributing as a threat to run the bases. She’s the kind of player coaches love: quick, adaptable, and able to hit from multiple spots in the lineup, including leadoff. The bigger-than-box-score appeal is her steady presence and run-creation profile, which make her a fit for teams wanting speed, contact, and lineup flexibility rather than just raw power.
