Anya George brings freshman shot-making upside and guard toughness to UMass
Anya George, a 5-foot-8 freshman guard for the 2025-26 UMass Minutewomen, arrives with a résumé built on winning habits: two-time all-conference honors, Coaches Player of the Year, Standout Player of the Year, and a 2024 South Jersey Basketball Invitational title run. Her early college profile points to efficient, low-usage scoring with clean free-throw touch, while her high school background suggests she can add value as a competitive, floor-spreading guard who understands how to contribute without needing the ball every trip. Good fit if you want toughness, maturity, and upside—not just empty box-score noise.
