Senior Center with 12-Point Career High and Unique Reality TV Charisma
Mike Mathison, a 6'10", 265-lb senior center for the North Dakota Fighting Hawks, differentiates himself with a career-high 12 points on 5-for-7 shooting, showcasing efficient finishing despite modest season averages (1.0 PPG, 0.8 REB). His differentiator isn't just stats—it's his intense personality and unique media presence, having appeared on Animal Planet’s Hillbilly Handfishin’ alongside teammate Nick Haugen, revealing a fearless, playful, and team-oriented spirit that elevates locker room energy. While his rebounding and scoring volume are limited, his intensity, defensive positioning, and unselfish attitude make him a reliable fit for teams needing a high-character, hard-nosing center who brings more than just numbers. No known injury history; his consistency and senior leadership add value beyond the stat sheet.
