Data-Driven LB with Elite Intensity and Academic All-American Honors
Alex Manigo, a San Jose State LB, stands out not just for his 21-game tenure and transfer pedigree from University of San Diego, but for his relentless intensity and academic excellence, earning him the 2016 Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar award and two-time Academic All-Mountain West honors. Unlike typical stat-focused players, Manigo’s differentiator is his unique blend of football grit and intellectual discipline—evidenced by his business management major and Special Olympics volunteer work—making him a low-risk, high-integrity fit for any team seeking a leader who thrives under pressure without injury history concerns. His 2024 All-America recognition (per SJSU honors digest) confirms his elite status, while his personality traits of humility and community service add intangible value beyond the box score.
