UNLV’s freshman ace who turned into a Mountain West game-changer
In the 2026 season, Lauren Fettic emerged as UNLV’s workhorse in the circle, finishing 14-9 with a 3.35 ERA over 142.0 innings and earning Mountain West Pitcher of the Year plus All-West Region honors. She pairs size, poise, and durability with real swing-and-miss ability, and her freshman impact stood out because she handled big innings, complete games, and pressure spots like a veteran. If your team wants a competitive lefty who can pitch and contribute at 1B, she looks like a true two-way fit with legitimate upside.
