Experienced defensive back with proven special-teams leadership
Kornegay is best known as a veteran, high-effort defensive back whose value goes beyond the box score: he earned a reputation for leadership and special-teams impact at Florida State, including team captain honors and recognition as a special-teams standout in 2006. He profiles as a fit for teams that want discipline, toughness, and coachability from the safety/DB room, rather than just raw athleticism. The biggest differentiator is his proven willingness to do the unglamorous work that helps stabilize a roster and raise the floor of a defense.
