Malik Stokes brings dual-threat upside, but Norfolk State is still searching for steady QB play
Malik Stokes is a dual-threat quarterback for Norfolk State who adds mobility and playmaking intent, but the Spartans’ early-season offensive inconsistency shows he’s still in a development phase rather than a polished carry-the-offense starter. In the available 2024 team stats, he completed 8 of 18 passes for 54 yards with one touchdown and one interception, while also adding 31 rushing yards on 17 carries, which points to a runner who can create but also a passer who needs efficiency growth. He fits best with a staff willing to build around athletic upside and patience, not instant production.
