Ryan Prior brings size, upside, and a high-end righty label to Virginia’s staff
Prior enters Virginia as a big-bodied right-handed pitcher with notable recruiting stock, including a ranking as the No. 200 right-handed pitcher nationally by Perfect Game and No. 12 among NJ righties in the class of 2025. He projects as a power arm with the frame teams like to develop, and his appeal is more about upside than a stat line at this stage. If you want a pitcher with physicality, recruiting pedigree, and room to grow in a top program’s development system, he’s a fit.
