Liam Dougherty is Houston’s steady-leg punter with Big 12 value
In the 2026 season, Liam Dougherty has opened with 3 punts for 127 yards, a 42.3-yard average, and a 50-yard long, while Houston lists him at 6-2, 205 pounds as a junior from Geelong, Australia[1][2][4]. His calling card is reliability: Houston says his 2025 season featured a 74.2 punt grade, 18 punts inside the 20, and sixth-place Big 12 ranking in that category, which is the kind of field-position swing coaches love[2]. He is a fit for teams that value directional punting, consistency, and hidden-yardage gains over highlight-reel flash[2][4].
