High-upside UAB DT sidelined by Achilles injury
Nigel Tate enters 2026 as a **79-rated** UAB defensive tackle in EA Sports College Football 26, which signals legitimate Power-conference-level interior talent and enough all-around ability to matter right away when healthy.[1] His biggest differentiator is upside: at 6'3", he brings the size profile UAB wants inside, but his current value is tempered by a season-ending Achilles injury suffered in preseason practice, so any team fit depends heavily on a clean recovery and long-term durability.[1][2]
