Will Patterson adds LHP depth for ACU with a power frame and late-inning value
Will Patterson, a 6-foot-6, 230-pound left-hander, gives Abilene Christian a physically imposing arm who can miss bats and handle relief work; in the 2026 season, he logged 2.1 innings against Golden Eagle, struck out two, and then later worked 0.2 innings versus TCU, showing he’s being trusted in competitive spots.[1][3] The upside here is the combo of size, angle, and left-handed utility, though the 2026 box score against TCU also showed command can wobble when traffic builds.[2][3] That makes him a useful fit for teams wanting a developmental bullpen arm with matchup potential and room to sharpen consistency.[2][3]
