FGCU’s steady frontcourt piece with proven scoring touch
Candace Carreras brings a reliable forward’s blend of size, scoring feel, and interior toughness to FGCU. In the 2007-08 season, she appeared in 7 games and averaged 2.4 points per game, but the deeper signal is her roster continuity and prior production in the program’s history, which suggests a player trusted in the system and familiar with winning expectations. Her fit depends on role: if a team wants a compact, hard-nosed frontcourt contributor who can learn, defend, and give efficient minutes without needing the spotlight, she’s a sensible, low-drama pickup.
