Le Moyne’s Derek Constance Brings a High-Ceiling Arm to the Dolphins
Constance is a 6-foot-3 right-handed pitcher whose loudest calling card is his **velocity**, with Prep Baseball Report listing a fastball up to **91 mph** and Perfect Game noting an **11-mph** year-over-year velo jump, which points to real arm upside rather than a finished product.[2][3] Le Moyne’s 2026 roster lists him as a **R-Fr. P** after a Stony Brook stop, and the available college roster pages do not yet show season statistics, so the most useful read is projection: a power arm with developing consistency who could fit a staff looking for strike-throwing upside and developmental growth.[1][4][5]
