Isaiah Shayter is a power-armed Penn State righty who battled through a bumpy freshman year
In the 2026 season, Isaiah Shayter showed flashes of real upside for Penn State, including a five-inning shutout against Washington and a strong late-season stretch that hinted at starter quality. He’s a 6-foot-2 right-hander with a starter’s frame and strikeout pedigree from high school, but his biggest question is command consistency after a freshman year that featured stretches of heavy traffic and elevated ERA. The upside is obvious; the fit depends on whether your team wants a development project with real arm talent.
