experienced safety with proven special-teams value
Joe LaBarbera’s profile shows a dependable defensive back who has also contributed on special teams, including appearing in all 13 games as a Wake Forest redshirt freshman and later recording 7 tackles for San Diego in a 2014 win, which points to a player coaches could trust in multiple roles. His differentiator is reliability and versatility rather than splashy production: he has shown up, filled gaps, and made routine plays in the secondary, which is useful for a depth-minded roster.
