Norfolk State’s bruising fullback with a history of toughness
Conley Smith has been a classic old-school fullback for Norfolk State, known more for blocking, short-yardage work, and special-teams grit than headline numbers. In his 2012 season, he appeared in all 11 games, rushed 10 times for 21 yards, caught five passes for 29 yards, and scored three short touchdowns, while later battling significant leg injuries that interrupted his availability in 2014. If a team wants a physical, selfless tone-setter who does the dirty work and brings toughness, Smith fits; if it wants splash-play production, that’s not his lane.
