First-Team All-MEAC Point Guard with Elite Playmaking and Leadership
Ciani Byrom is a senior point guard for Maryland Eastern Shore who earned First-Team All-MEAC honors in the 2018-19 season, marking her first career selection at that level [2]. As a 6-foot-1 guard from Winston-Salem, NC, Byrom differentiates herself with elite court vision, high-intensity defensive pressure, and a leadership style that elevates her teammates' performance—traits that made her head coach Fred Batchelor win MEAC Coach of the Year the same season [2]. While her most recent verified stats are from 2019, her reputation as a clutch playmaker and steady floor general suggests she's a strong fit for teams needing a veteran point guard who can control tempo, reduce turnovers, and inspire consistency. No public injury history is reported, and her intensity level is consistently described as 'high' by MEAC coverage [2].
