Southern Miss TE Jonathon Simmons: veteran-sized target with little verified 2026 public stat trail
Jonathon Simmons stands out more for profile than publicly verifiable 2026 production: Southern Miss listed a Jonathon Simmons at tight end back in 2002 at 6-4, 245, which suggests the kind of size coaches love in an in-line TE or red-zone mismatch piece. Because current-season reliable stats and recent scouting notes are not readily available here, the safest read is that his appeal would hinge on traditional TE traits—frame, blocking utility, and catch-point presence—rather than headline-grabbing numbers. For a team, that makes him intriguing if you want a physical, developmental tight end who can do the dirty work and survive in traffic.
