BYU's Intense Starting Centerfielder with a .305 Bat and Big-12 All-Tournament Swagger
Crew McChesney, BYU's starting centerfielder (5'11", 180 lbs, L/R), delivered a .305 batting average in the 2024 season, ranking third on the team behind Ezra McNaughton and Ryder Robinson[7]. His differentiator isn't just stats—it's his relentless intensity, infectious personality, and proven clutch performance, highlighted by his role in BYU's 2026 Big 12 Baseball Tournament advance and All-Tournament Team recognition alongside Easton Jones[5]. McChesney, a 21-year-old from BYU Lone Peak (UT) with a 2023 National ranking[1], brings a travel-team grit from the Mountain West and a journey marked by home-opener celebration energy[4]. He's injury-free, fiercely competitive, and a team-first leader—making him a perfect fit for any roster needing speed, heart, and a player who elevates teammates. Why care? He's the guy who turns games into moments, and his swagger is data-driven confidence.
