Ball-Hawking Cornerback With Big-Play DNA
Evan Johnson is a proven playmaker at **cornerback**, not a kicker, and his value comes from turnovers, recovery speed, and disruptive coverage rather than raw volume stats.[2][8][14] In the 2025 season at BYU, he was one of the Big 12’s top ball hawks with five interceptions, eight pass breakups, and a sack, while his breakout included a dramatic two-pick performance against East Carolina that flipped the game momentum.[14][4] He fits best for teams that want an aggressive, instinctive cover defender who can change a game with one snap.
