Temple’s reliable, clutch-footed scoring weapon
In the 2002 season, Poklemba was a steady all-around kicker for Temple, going 14-for-20 on field goals, 22-for-22 on PATs, and leading the team with 64 points; over his Temple career, he finished with 190 points and 36 field goals, which still places him among the program’s all-time scoring leaders. His calling card was calm under pressure — he hit the game-winner at Rutgers and even set a Big East record with five field goals in one game — the kind of “give me the ball” specialist every coach loves when the margins get razor-thin.
