Carter White gives NSU a tough lefty with Friday-start upside
In the 2025 season, Carter White emerged as a key Northwestern State left-hander, leading the Demons’ qualifying pitchers with a 2.65 ERA and posting a Southland-best 2.33 ERA in conference play while limiting opponents to a .190 average. He finished 2025 as NSU’s Friday starter and showed some real poise: seven of his outings came without allowing an earned run, plus he notched a save and worked multiple roles. The fit is clear—he’s a strike-throwing, competitive arm with starter value and enough versatility to help a staff in more than one way.
