Derrick Raymond brings SEC-caliber pedigree and playmaking instincts to Southeastern Louisiana’s secondary
Raymond is a **6-0, 190-pound junior defensive back** with a strong resume from LSU, where he entered college as a **4-star, top-20 cornerback recruit**. He profiles as a physical, experienced cover man with the size and ball skills to help a secondary right away, and his recruiting pedigree suggests he was valued for more than raw speed—specifically his instincts, competitiveness, and ability to disrupt throws. If Southeastern Louisiana wants a DB who can raise the room’s ceiling and compete against top receivers, he looks like a strong fit.
