Gavin Johnston is SEMO’s veteran bullpen stabilizer with swing-and-miss stuff
In the 2025 season, Johnston posted a 3.77 ERA with 36 strikeouts in 28.2 innings and held opponents to a .240 average, then returned in 2026 as Southeast Missouri State’s trusted setup arm and late-inning weapon. He’s a senior right-hander who attacks hitters, piles up strikeouts, and has been used in high-leverage spots, including saves, which tells you the staff trusts him when the game gets twitchy. If a team wants an experienced reliever who brings poise, punchouts, and a proven bullpen presence, Johnston fits the bill.
