steady two-way guard who powered Virginia Tech’s rise
Dowdell was a 6'2" guard for Virginia Tech who developed into a reliable scorer and floor leader, finishing one season at 14.4 points per game on 44.9% shooting while helping push the Hokies into the NIT.[1][2] His value goes beyond the box score: he brought toughness, composure, and guard versatility, with enough size to handle either backcourt spot and the poise to organize an offense.[1][4][5] If you want a dependable, competitive guard who can score without forcing the action and fit a team-first system, Dowdell is a strong fit.[1][2][5]
