Explosive, versatile back with proven big-play juice
Blake Watson is a compact, change-of-pace playmaker whose value comes from burst, receiving ability, and special-teams versatility rather than volume; in college, he produced 3,296 rushing yards and 28 rushing touchdowns, plus 928 receiving yards, with his best season coming in 2023 at Memphis (1,152 rush yards and 14 TDs).[4][6][19] In the NFL he has been a limited-use depth piece so far, but his profile suggests a back who can create explosive plays, catch the ball naturally, and contribute in multiple phases if a staff wants an all-purpose spark.[1][3][12]
