Shalanda Carter brings size, raw upside, and post-defense to Northwestern State
Shalanda Carter is a 6-foot-3 center from Waynesboro, Mississippi, whose profile is built on raw athleticism, improving strength, and the chance to become a force around the basket for the Lady Demons. Northwestern State’s coaching notes emphasize her ability to move around the rim and her defensive edge, and her high-school résumé includes Best Defensive Player honors. She looks like a fit for a team that wants interior length, energy, and development upside in the post rather than a polished, finished product.
